Abstract
Northern Michigan University department of Continuing Education acts as one of 14 training agencies state-wide recognized by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) to provide safety instruction and driver skills road tests to promote safe, efficient pupil transportation programs using MDE approved curriculum. NMU provides training for over 800 school bus drivers and transportation supervisors within the 12-county region of the west/central Upper Peninsula.
