Abstract
This grant was awarded to cover research expenses for a book of linked prose poems on Antoine Laumet de LaMothe-Cadillac, founder of Detroit and first governor of Louisiana. This summer, I completed the French version of the book in Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave, France, Cadillac's native village and the location of the Cadillac Museum, where I did research.
