Abstract
This essay compares two works of post-apocalyptic science fiction set in northern Michigan. The first, Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven, set along Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Second, the web-based television series Northbound, which is filmed near Iron Mountain and on the Keweenaw Peninsula.
