Abstract
"Michigan''s Green Energy Economy" is a half hour television documentary that examines the impact of renewable energy on the state''s ecomomy. It was aired state-wide as part of the Emmy award-winning "Michigan at Risk" series on November 15. The documentary was followed by a panel discussion about renewable energy policy development in Michigan. Many Michigan PBS affiliates plan to air "Michigan''s Green Energy Economy" again as a stand alone half hour program in the near future. Production involved shooting in twelvel different counties in Michigan and required over six hundred man hours of work. The project was funded through an NMU faculty grant and a grant from the Michigan Association of Public Broadcasters. Dr. Brady also received a sabbatical leave for the fall 2006 semester.
