Submission Guidelines for Celebration of Student Scholarship

Undergraduate students at NMU are eligible to submit scholarly, creative, and art works to the Celebration of Student Scholarship Essay Competition. Scholarly work refers to research papers in the sciences and social sciences. Creative work refers to fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry. Submissions in these two categories must adhere to the 10-page limit.

Artwork submissions must include a digital image with its physical dimensions. Artist statement must also address methods, materials, and inspiration for creating the piece.

All submissions must be in English.

The Library/Archives Research Award provides a $500 award for an undergraduate student for a project that effectively uses resources from the Lydia M. Olson Library and/or Central Upper Peninsula & NMU Archives. Specific submission guidelines are provided for this award.
