Abstract
This grant was to evaluate the usage of a teaching tool titled "When the Brain Fails to Do Its Work: Dementia Education for High School Students." This material was developed as part of federal grant from the Administration on Aging, and distributed to all 55 Upper Peninsula high schools in April, 2005. The current research evaluates if and how teachers have used the dementia Education materials, in what classes, and how they assess their qualtiy. Results of the study will be useful in efforts to disseminate materials to a wider audience. This is a collaborative project with Nursing and Psychology faculty, Anna Sanford, MSN, and Sheila Burns, Ph.D..
