Keith Kendall

Dr. Kendall investigates the influence of religious beliefs on social and political behavior and decisions, particularly in terms of orthodox responses to dissent. Dr. Kendall currently specializes in sermons of Pope Innocent III (1198-1216) and that pope’s reactions to movements that he perceived to be threatening the medieval Christian church. Dr. Kendall teaches courses on Western Civilization, Medieval Europe, the Ancient Mediterranean World, Arab-Islamic history, and Christian history.
