Michael Martin joins the faculty as an assistant professor. He will teach classes in the mechanical engineering technology program. He obtained both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University and was a graduate teaching assistant at MTU in the area of experimental vibrations and computer numerical controlled machining. Martin is a professional engineer, registered in the State of Michigan. Since graduating, he has worked as a senior project engineer for General Motors, and in Escanaba has been employed by Engineered Machine Products as a product development engineer and engineering supervisor, and at Industrial Maintenance Service as a project manager/engineer. He and his wife Julie have two sons: Daniel and Nicholas.
