Abstract
Wildlife: Stories is a flash fiction collection written with many influences from contemporary postmodern and fabulist writers. The collection is broken up into two projects, Brothers Monsters and The Condition of Marjorie’s Feet. The first project is a novella written from the perspective of a child, London Jeffries, who is possessed by the ghost of his dead brother. The second project attempts to document a mythos of Marjorie—as rampaging mutant, demon ghost, televised prophet, kiosk salesperson, vengeful aunt—in new and surprising settings across time and space. London and Marjorie occupy two very distinctive functions in fiction writing, using different points of view and narrative arcs.
