Abstract
This panel engaged participants in an interactive discussion about existing and emerging pedagogies and practices that support pre-service teachers in writing instruction. It highlighted: (1) a developmental first-year writing program that exclusively staffs pre-service English education students, (2) varying versions of the writing ‘methods’ course, and (3) research into dispositional traits that cultivate writing ability in pre-service teachers.
